Project summary: The objective of the proposed Integrated Project "Intelligent Materials for Active Noise Reduction (InMAR)" is therefore the realization of intelligent, high performing adaptive material systems with integrated electronics able to be applied for noise mitigation purposes, even in highly loaded structures as construction material in the same manner as common passive or light weight materials are used (42 partners).

Project summary: FAME will assemble, structure, integrate and expand a world class-team of researchers in multifunctional Hybrids and Ceramics as the key building block for an Institute of Advanced Functional Materials capable of remaining at the forefront of this emerging and strategically important family of materials technologies for tomorrow. FAME will be powered by 8 core-partners from Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, UK - assisted by 14 key partners chosen either for their specialisation and/or potential to develop emerging teams or centres (24 partners).
