WP1: Materials Identification and Database by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:25

WP2: Damped Composites Modelling by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:37
The main objective of this work package is to investigate, upgrade and propose new models for linear and non linear vibration of damped (viscoelastic) sandwich and multilayered composite structures.
WP3: Adaptive Composites Modelling by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:39
Analytical and numerical (finite element) modelling of sandwich and laminated composites with piezoelectric layers.- Analytical and numerical modelling of thermal and pyroelectric effects in piezoelectric composites- Numerical modelling of piezoceramic shunted damping.- Application and validation of the above advanced models and associated FE for various problems, such as vibration supression of simple beams and plates due to mechanical or/and thermal loads by means of piezoelectric sensors and actuators.
WP4: Vibration Control Strategies by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:40
The objectives of this work package are:- To establish and develop a reduced dynamic model of a given structure. - To study the effect of uncertainties in model parameters on overall model results taking into account statistical uncertainties.- To propose, test and upgrade various control strategies. New control techniques based on fuzzy logic and neural networks will be proposed.- To design an experimental set-up for the validation of the developed models in previous task.
WP5: Parameters Sensitivities and Optimisation by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:41
The objective of this work package is the development of suitable methods to investigate the parametric sensitivity of dynamically loaded structures with passive and/or active devices and optimization of the size, location and type of actuators and sensors. All the developed concepts and results will be validated on passive, active and hybrid structures.
WP6: Experimental Evaluation and Assessment by Salim Belouettar — last modified 2006-10-17 10:41
his work package will provide:- Manufacturing support for experimental activities (test articles).- Experimental support for numerical activities.- Assessment of newly developed concepts (passive, active, hybrid).
