The identification (inverse) methodology has been developed on the basis of experimental design and response surface technique to characterise composite material properties. This technique has been tested on homogeneous aluminium plates and successfully applied to characterise orthotropic material properties of laminated composites using results of vibration tests. The next stage is characterisation of viscoelastic material properties using developed technique
